her name is Mariko Kawaguchi, and she's a private investigator. she has flexible hours,
likes whiskey sours, and enjoy people watching...
she'd rather divulge anything more personal to you personally, however.

the other is a blind recommendation -- that is, he wasn't given a name. Akechi describes him as a silver fox and a fantastic conversationalist, despite being a bit of a tactless loner.
he also mentioned he's quiet cat-like, so he should get along with your brood well.

The man sounds the more interesting, if I'm honest. It might just be that I'm a little more attracted to men. But I respect that this Kawaguchi woman was willing to assign her name and wants to meet me. So... I could meet both? I'm a little wary of something blind at this point, but . . .

In both cases, something simple is probably best.

something simple, and ideally when the sun is down so you don't have too much trouble... well, winter is closing in on us regardless, so the latter isn't too hard to manage.
perhaps dinner at a decent restaurant? nothing one would have to dress too fancily for.
