[Sometime later in the afternoon- not too late, but late enough to indicate that he absolutely was doing other more important things and didn't just... Sleep through the majority of the day- Silver knocks at Elda's door.
He's clean now, that's a bonus; his arms look a little odd from the tail end of healing, but aren't covered in bandages. He's wearing fresh clothes- cheap, but clean and newly purchased- and... Well, he can't hide the fatigue from his expression, but at least he looks significantly more presentable than he would have if he showed up last night or right when he got back.
[ Elda, for her part is... asleep. She's sleeping in the armchair in the sitting room immediately off from the main foyer, curled up on herself and lightly dozing. Given the open sketchbook before her, it's clear that she had been doing something else before she dozed off.
The sketchbook is open to a freehand from memory sketch of Toushiro, though the shading shows him with the black hair he used to have, not the white he does now. ]
[He slips inside, closes the door, and... Checks her sketchbook. She can use a few more minutes of sleep, and he's nosy. Maybe it was good to be nosy, too. Toushiro with his black hair... He has to wonder if Elda knows about his sister from his memories.
She probably didn't take that well. Or won't, if she already knows. After a moment's consideration, he starts flipping through the pages to see if there's anything else of interest in her sketchbook.]
[ There is. There's pages and pages worth of things in there. Sketches of silver, both at his current age and an approximation of when he was younger. Several more of Toushiro, again mostly with black hair. One of Yoshiko, looking very cross in the corner of one of the pages. A few more of a friend or two she had from college.
But the main things of interest:
a busty teenage girl who looks a lot like Elda, a couple she doesn't seem to have a great grasp on the full appearance of, so she gave up, a similarly undetailed sketch of the young man in this image, but a much more detailed sketch of the melancholy looking young girl.
And then... an attempt to draw this man. She can't seem to get it right apparently, given it still doesn't have eyes and the face has been erased and redrawn a few times. ]
[...Silver looks it all over carefully, then opens up a fresh page not too far from Elda's sketches and adds in something of his own.
At first it's just the three of him. Him, Toushiro, Elda... Everyone's drawn a little older than they actually are. Their hair's shaded appropriately to indicate their lighter hair, Elda has her sunglasses and a parasol... But the air is light, they're happy and together, and that's what matters, really. And then he adds in Elda's- daughter? It can't be her, Elda doesn't have a chest like that- relative beside her, then Blue ends up behind him, conversing with Elda over his head as he sits, then Toushiro's sister as well- not that he knows her apperance, so she ends up looking like... a softer girl Toushiro, more or less- and by the time he starts adding more of Elda's family in, he realizes a decent amount of time has passed and that he should probably stop while he's ahead, so he simply sketches in vague concepts behind her instead of filled out features and leaves it at that.
He flips her sketchbook to a random page and leaves it on the floor- it "fell", and she can find what he drew later when he's not around- and puts his pencil away before going off to find a blanket to put on Elda. From there, he'll find a decent spot a few feet away to sit, open up his laptop, and kill time until she wakes up.]
[ She's asleep for a good hour or so after that, honestly. So... well. Once all that time is passed, she's going to open her eyes slowly, looking around for the light in the darkness here, if any will bother her eyes - but oh right, red eyes. She smiles, and she looks up to see.
[Truth be told, Silver has a hard time not nodding off for the next hour; he's half asleep sitting up when Elda speaks up and snaps his head up to attention.]
I figured you needed the sleep.
[Everyone sort of needs the sleep, at this point.]
[Laptop down. He manages to do so quickly enough; he tenses up on reflex if for no better than he's ridiculously sore, but the immediate reaction passes pretty quickly in favor of him hugging her back much more tightly than she's probably expecting.]
[ Much more tightly, particularly given she was ready to break immediately and apologize to him for her indulgence. But then she's hugged back and now she needs to manage her super strength so as to not, well, hurt him or anything. As a result her grip probably feels a little bit loose. ]
[Well, that's... A little confusing, but it isn't like it's bad, either, although after a good amount of time hugging on the floor he's had his fill and pulls away to look at her instead.]
Sorry for disappearing like that. What did I miss?
A few people got split into groups of ten or so, called to locations by Retrospec if we accepted a call out as teams. We got named after drinks and I got put on Brandywine. Mine had twelve people including me, and we got assigned to this hidden room under RU.
From there we poked around until we activated a terminal to get in touch with some administrator woman, and then spent the next two weeks getting into a mess trying to find the head of security in a library.
He's a cyborg over six feet tall. Also made it sound like the there's some new director that's got them being more hands on, based on his parting line.
Eeesh, at least try to be picky when someone offers you something nice. Ahwell, let's go to the kitchen then.
[ She will make him the best possible thing!! What... is Soyo... Well, she's pretty sure she's got a fair bit of rice? Did she have any meat on hand here? Fish? She honestly doesn't remember, given how much of a blur the last month was. Maybe she should order in?
... No, she's making it, it's a matter of pride now. ]
[...Maybe he should just tell her? It will save her the work, and it's not like he has to pay for it. On the other hand, she might take that as a slight to her cooking, and Tisse is a long way out. It's not like he can't just go tomorrow, either. ...Or some other time, given the current state of affairs.
Besides, this is free food, and Elda's a really good cook. This is a win/win for him.]
Elda? Is cooking hard?
[...That's the conversation he's decided to have with her while he watches her cook.]

He peeks the door open.]
Elda? You home?

[ she says, leaping to her feet and sliding towards the other. He's probably sitting and he probably doesn't want this. But ... well.
She's going to get over to him and pull him into a hug. ]

Not all that much, it feels like. the last three weeks were this whirlwind as we tried to get you back.
